Frequently asked questions
What am I paying for?
Your workspace plan and the managed resources you use. Usage can include compute, storage, extra backup copies, data transfers, requests, and AI inference. Included credits cover eligible usage before additional usage charges apply.
Can I use my own GPUs, lab machines, or cloud account?
Yes. Bring your own compute to use infrastructure you already have. DreamLake CPU, memory, and GPU charges do not apply to that compute; you remain responsible for its costs. Any DreamLake-managed storage, transfers, requests, and AI services are priced separately.
How do credits relate to dollars?
One credit represents $0.005 of usage. Team includes 20,000 credits ($100 of usage) each month. Credits measure resource usage; the workspace subscription is a separate charge.
How much would a data-annotation run cost?
It depends on the resources the run uses, not just the number of labels. Include compute time, data retained, downloads, requests, and any model inference. Use the calculator to adjust a sample workload, including whether you bring your own compute.
Does storing data cost anything between runs?
Yes. Managed storage and additional backup copies are priced by GB-month while data is retained, even when no compute job is running. Compute and storage are separate line items.
Is AI usage included in my plan?
Managed AI inference and tools count toward your usage allowance at the published rate. They are not unlimited. The rate sheet expresses this cost relative to provider spend so you can include it in your estimate.
Can I set a budget or automatically top up?
Budget controls, credit purchases, and automatic top-ups are part of the billing rollout and are not yet available. The calculator is an estimate, not a spending cap. See the billing guide for current availability and policies.
Do you offer startup or academic credits?
We are defining these programs. Contact us with your team, research goals, and expected usage to discuss availability. Credit amounts and eligibility are agreed individually; submitting an inquiry does not guarantee a grant.
Can I use existing cloud credits or committed spend?
For compute you manage in your own cloud account, your provider’s terms apply. DreamLake subscriptions and managed services are billed separately. Cloud marketplace purchasing is not currently offered; contact us about procurement requirements.
Can I subscribe today, and are taxes included?
This page previews the pricing model. Paid subscriptions and managed resource availability are still being rolled out. Prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes. Contact us to discuss an early deployment.
